Week 40 - A Due Date...Come and Gone

I am not going to lie...I have been very antsy in anticipation of meeting our little girl. Today is her due date and needless to say I'm a little sad that she hasn't decided to join us yet. With that being said, I can only mope around the house for so long before I drive myself (and Ryan) crazy.

Week 39, Day 4

So, what have I been doing to combat the anxiousness:

1. Read books...lots of them! (In the past seven days, I finished Serena by Ron Rash, Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth and started on Notorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovich. I am very excited that Serena and Divergent will be made into movies soon! I highly recommend the three I have finished.)
2. Walked many times with Ryan and Jack. The weather for this time of year has been so much more pleasant than usual, which I am so thankful for!
3. Cleaning the house
4. Getting her cloth diapers in order; making sure all of her sizes have been set to the smallest setting
5. Finally finishing up getting pictures developed and frames on the remaining walls in our house
6. Ordering and organizing her room
7. Packed away many of my maternity clothes, especially the warm weather ones, and unpacking my pre-pregnancy clothes
8. Working out; mostly the elliptical and weights for toning
9. More walks with the boys
10. Working up through my due date (so glad I did though most days I didn't want to be there lately)
11. Made DIY cloth diaper detergent
12. Hired our part-time nanny!
13. Tried to stay caught up with friends via technology and also visiting/hanging out

Ok, I'm tired just looking back at that list! I'm glad I've been productive, but it has been hard to stay motivated when I just want to go through the labor and birth to have her here.

Pregnancy Stats:
  • Swelling? Nope!
  • Rings still on? Yes
  • Working out? Yes, but at a much much tamer pace. Mostly elliptical, walking and weight training.
  • How do I feel? Pretty good. A little anxious and starting to feel more pressure.
Here's to hoping I can relax and enjoy the last few days with my hubby before the baby gets here! I can't wait to meet her and share her name with the world :)
