Homemade Cheez-its & Quick N' Easy Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Homemade cheez-its...you don't say! But I do. They were yummy and really easy to make...only 6 ingredients (and I only used five of them)! I got the recipe from Wordpress. I did not include the milk because I didn't have any, but they turned out fine. I also used a very small food processor and it still worked (in case you don't have a heavy duty one). My batch made about 80 cheez-its and they were scrumdelicious :)

As you can tell, these didn't last very long!

Healthy Chocolate Banana Smoothie

I love to try different smoothie recipes. This is one of my own concoctions, which I really liked with the addition of regular cocoa powder! It is a great post-workout recovery drink and if you drink two servings you will get 16 grams of protein and 600 mg of potassium for around 200 calories.

Makes:  4 servings (8 oz each)

Ingredients:
  • 1 c. skim milk
  • 1 c. plain Greek yogurt (I used Athenos, but normally use Chobani or Oikos)
  • 2 tsp. Nestle's Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 tbs. cinnamon
  • 2 medium bananas
  • Ice (4-5 regular sized cubes)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
Directions:
  1. Put all ingredients in the smoothie maker, blender, etc. with the ice going in last.
  2. Blend it!
  3. Top it off with a dollop of whipped cream (optional).
